Job Description
Job Summary - DIRECT HIRE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join a leading print company. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your skills in heavy equipment operation and inventory management will be valued and utilized daily.
Schedule - 2, 2, 3 rotating shifts
1st
Shift: 7 a.m.
- 7 p.m.
2nd
Shift: 7 p.m.
- 7 a.m.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts to move finished product and supply various departments with materials as needed
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using barcode scanning technology and order picker equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and ensuring proper storage practices.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, or containers
- Perform routine equipment inspections
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on distribution tasks, shipping & receiving processes, and inventory control initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2 years proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or similar material handling equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of heavy loads safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards in production environments.
- Warehouse experience including order picking, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution processes is highly preferred.
