Experienced Agricultural Technician
Charing, Kent
OTE £60,000
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Agricultural Technician to join a well-established and growing business.
This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of modern agricultural machinery, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and inspections both in the workshop and out in the field.
Working Hours
· Monday to Friday
· 8:00am - 5:00pm
· Overtime available during weekdays and weekends
The Role
As an Agricultural Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of agricultural equipment, ensuring machinery remains reliable and operational for customers.
Key duties include:
· Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery.
· Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
· Completing pre-delivery inspections on new machinery.
· Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and service software.
· Completing job reports and service records electronically.
· Attending manufacturer training courses to maintain technical knowledge.
· Promoting dealership services and supporting customer relationships.
· Working closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
· Previous experience as an Agricultural Technician is essential.
· Experience working on tractors, combines, sprayers, balers and other agricultural equipment.
· Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
· Good hydraulic, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Good IT skills and experience using diagnostic systems.
· Experience working on AGCO products would be advantageous but is not essential.
