Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured
-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve.

The Clinical Therapist will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of residents. This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each resident. The individual is required to work with the Department of Child Services with regards to child family team meetings and court hearings.
Along with completing appropriate documentations. They will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned residents at Oak Plains Academy as required by contractual and licensure obligations. They will also participate in subsequent treatment planning, risk management assessment and aftercare / discharge planning. They will actively communicate with staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to residents and their family members / caregivers / placement options.

Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in social work/clinical services field from an accredited college or university required.
- One to two years experience working with youth with emotional and/or behavioral diagnosis, required.
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee in social work or related field, as a LPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred.
- Eligibility for licensure track in social work or related field acceptable.
- Required years of age.
- Valid Drivers license in good standing.
