Responsibilities
Seasonal/Temporary position, 4 months.
3–12 hour shifts covering 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, and 10:00 AM–10:00 PM.
Rotating weekends mandatory.
Position LocationLocated in Ashland City, TN at Oak Plains Academy, a 98‑bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents. Residents receive individualized treatment plans designed to meet their personal needs. The campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories on a 20‑acre rural setting about 45 minutes from Nashville.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Render professional nursing care to patients within the treatment programs; practice ongoing patient assessment, evaluation, and update patient care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicate pertinent data to other service areas as needed. Administer medications appropriately and document all data accurately according to facility policy. Participate in formulation of individual care plans for all patients and implement plan according to facility policy.
- Perform proper HWC techniques, demonstrating knowledge of patient and staff safety. Complete debriefings as indicated.
- Serve as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and licensed in the State of Tennessee.
- At least one year of experience as an RN in Behavioral Health with children and adolescents or a psychiatric inpatient setting.
- 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Successful background check, fingerprinting, and employment verification required.
