Registered Nurse – Full‑Time – Night Shifts

Position at Oak Plains Academy, Ashland City, TN.

3‑12 hour shifts, weekends mandatory, seasonal/temporary 4‑month assignment.

Oak Plains Academy is a 98‑bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric services to children and adolescents. The professional team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers.

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in the treatment program, including ongoing assessment and documentation.
• Administer medications accurately and maintain documentation as per facility policy.
• Participate in individual care plan formulation and implementation.
• Perform proper HWC techniques, ensuring safety of patients and staff.
• Complete debriefings as indicated.
• Serve as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and licensed in the State of Tennessee.
• At least one year of RN experience in behavioral health with children/adolescents or psychiatric inpatient settings.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Successful background check, fingerprinting and employment verification required.
