Registered Nurse

Full-time position with a sign-on bonus of $10,000.00. Excellent benefits, shift differential rates, and 6-week self-scheduling. Three 12-hour shifts from 10 AM to 10 PM. Position located in Ashland City, TN.

Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve.

Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories. Our wooded campus provides an excellent opportunity for outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, softball, and basketball.

Job duties include rendering professional nursing care to patients within the treatment programs, practicing ongoing patient assessment, evaluation, and update of patient care, administering medications appropriately, participating in formulation of individual care plans, performing proper HWC techniques, completing debriefings as indicated, and serving as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.

Qualifications requirements include completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and licensure (or license eligibility) in the State of Tennessee. Preferred experience with children/adolescents and working in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license in good standing, and attend the two-week orientation classes, Monday through Friday.

This role requires a successful background check, fingerprinting, and employment verification.
