We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Nursing Instructor.
Job Duties- Teaching approximately 15-20 contact hours per week per semester in the classroom, skills lab and/or clinical setting
- Maintaining weekly office hours
- Advising Students
- Participating on college or system committees
- Willingness to work with peers to support the mission of the college
- Willng to teach at times, location and modalities to meet the needs of our students
- Present the current discipline knowledge to teach effectively
- Demonstrate respect for the diverse learning needs of students
- Demonstrate the ability to utilize teaching methods designed for a variety of learning styles
- Willingness to participate in the college’s continuous improvement process.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field (Master’s preferred).
- For nurse faculty in a practical nurse program: a minimum of an associate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited college or university (Bachelor’s preferred, educational plan required for obtaining BSN).
- The nurse faculty shall hold a temporary work permit or a current unencumbered license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- The nursing faculty shall document a minimum of two (2) years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse within the immediate past five (5) years and shall have and maintain expertise in the clinical or functional area of responsibility.
Master's degree in Nursing and prior teaching and e-learning course development
