Job DescriptionAppointment:
Success Coach shall be appointed annually; this is a grant position and will only be available as long as the grant is funded.
- A minimum of 60 college credit hours, with a background in education, social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with youth, particularly in educational, mentoring, or counseling roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of academic support strategies, social-emotional learning, and college/career readiness programs.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and use data to drive student success and program improvements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development to further enhance skills and knowledge
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Shall have the ability to sit, stoop, possibly lift up to 50 pounds or more, any and all body movements as related to the job description.
The ELEVATE GEAR UP Success Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and college/career readiness development of middle and high school students within Boyd County. Beginning with the 6th and 7th-grade cohort in the school year, the Success Coach will provide guidance and mentorship throughout the students’ academic journey, continuing through their first year of post-secondary education.
The Success Coach will support students in navigating academic challenges, building resilience, and preparing for post-secondary success, all while fostering strong relationships with families and community partners. All activities must be coordinated with administration to assure compliant with district policies and objectives. This position requires a passionate, dedicated individual with at least 60 college credit hours and experience working with youth, especially in rural, educational settings.
Salary: $21 to $21 Per Hour
