Project Engineering Manager

Location:

Ashland, KY

Salary: $125-155K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Project Engineering Manager:

As a Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing, leading, and executing large technical projects within the food industry. You will oversee a team of engineers and ensure the successful implementation of innovative solutions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager:
  • Create engineering designs, material specifications, and project estimates.
  • Perform feasibility studies and economic analysis for designs.
  • Ensure designs meet standards, validate field work, and create drawings.
  • Review engineering submissions for accuracy and completion.
  • Manage project execution by overseeing vendors and contractors.
  • Coordinate project schedules with plant staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with management and engineering teams to execute plans.
  • Plan layouts and meet utility requirements in partnership with vendors.
  • Review consultant work, recommend adjustments, and maintain documentation.
  • Conduct planning and reviews in pre-project phases.
  • Define scope of work, prepare, and evaluate proposals.
  • Provide regular project status reports to management.
Education & Experience Requirements of the Project Engineering Manager:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, including team management.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, planning, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel and work well in a dynamic environment.
