Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for performing and optimizing diagnostic imaging procedures, conducting quality assurance of imaging, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to advance departmental goals, support process improvements, and maintain high standards of patient care. Coordinates training, facilitates communication, and fosters a collaborative and efficient work environment. Addresses patient and operational needs by upholding service excellence, privacy, and professionalism.

Essential

Functions
  • Coordinates daily workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize unit efficiency.
  • Performs and evaluates diagnostic imaging/CT procedures for patients across the lifespan, ensuring technical and diagnostic quality.
  • Reviews physician orders, explains procedures to patients and families, and provides appropriate education.
  • Maintains accurate and timely medical records, documentation, and exam charging in all relevant electronic systems.
  • Ensures proper inventory management, equipment maintenance, quality control, and safety inspections.
  • Adheres to and enforces all departmental and enterprise policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides instruction, coaching, and guidance to students, technologists, and staff, supporting ongoing competency and professional development.
  • Promotes a positive, professional, and safe work environment through effective communication, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Collaborates with other Lead Technologists, directors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and appropriate staffing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area

Experience Requirement

2-5 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
