Housekeeping Crew role at INTERSTATE CLEANING CORPORATION

National janitorial cleaning company is looking for reliable people to provide commercial cleaning in shopping malls and major retail department stores. Pleasant, drug‑free work environment. EOE.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to work weekends.
• Background check required.

• Work as a member of the housekeeping team cleaning a shopping mall or department store under the direction of a local Site Manager.
• Perform tasks before or after mall/store closing: clean entrances, restrooms, vinyl, stone and other hard floor surfaces, carpet, food court, break rooms; restock restrooms; dust, wipe, sweep, mop, scrub; use machines as required; operate a diesel‑fired hot water pressure washer to clean sidewalks and entrance aprons; use safety precautions and protective equipment.
• Perform tasks during mall/store open hours: patrol mall on foot looking for spills and hazards; clean wet or dry spills; wipe down mall common area furniture, entrance doors, glass; scrape gum from flooring and sidewalks; touch‑up cleaning; restock restrooms; porters food court tables and chairs; wipe tables and chairs after each customer; remove trays; prepare trays in commercial washing equipment or by hand;
  
  empty trash receptacles and move trash to designated compactor; load and operate trash compactor machinery; remove cardboard from service corridors; load and operate cardboard compactor machinery; use cleaning chemicals, mops, buckets, rags, brooms, vacuum cleaners, commercial ride‑on or walk‑behind floor scrubbing machines, electric and/or propane floor buffer, and other equipment as needed.
• Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned.
