We at Danieli are “One Stop Shop Solution” for all steel major players around the world. Danieli is looking for Hydraulics & Lubrication Maintenance Technician to work in Apple Grove, West Virginia. The Hydraulics & Lubrication Maintenance Technician must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them. Hydraulics & Lubrication Maintenance Technician are required to install, inspect, repair, replace, adjust, and maintain all hydraulic and lubrication systems and components on mechanical equipment, in a producing unit assembly or assigned areas.

Responsibilities

Hydraulics & Lubrication Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are properly assembled, setup, and ready for operation.

Some of the main tasks include:

  • Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
  • Installs, maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Applies fluid power theory and related knowledge to install, test and troubleshoot operational industrial hydraulic systems and applications
  • Performs inspections of hydraulic systems, components, and piping
  • Able to supervise system installations, maintenance, and commissioning
  • Recommends modifications to circuit and components to improve performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoots, adjusts, and helps maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Repairs leaks in hydraulic systems. Removes and installs complete operating components, such as cylinders, oil motors, four-way valves, check valves, etc., and makes necessary repairs to same.
  • Changes, sets up, and adjusts equipment as required by the operation conditions
  • Utilizes all required computer systems for planning, executing, and reporting
  • Utilizes mechanical and electronic diagnostic equipment, computer equipment, and/or a variety of precision instruments as necessary
  • Performs other duties and work assignments as required and directed
Skills
  • Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Hydraulic Fluid Power practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Practices
  • Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance techniques and analysis
  • Knowledge of Fluid Sampling and Tribology
  • Decipher hydraulic diagrams / schematics, as these are used routinely to assemble components and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Accurately interpret readings from meters, temperature gauges and pressure gauges
  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Being reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations.
  • Adapts approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
