Job Description

Summary:

Dispense completed eyewear. Use Lensometer to verify accuracy of prescription. Adjust patient glasses.

Pay Type:

Part Time
Pay Range: $9.95 - $13.18/hr

Responsibilities
  • Greet all customers in‑person and by phone promptly and professionally as per company customer service standards, sell the lens cleaning kit, offer our Unbeatable Price/Money‑Back Satisfaction guarantee, review the Customer Service Comment Card with the customer, etc.
  • Inspect finished eyeglasses using the Lensometer to conform to the Company 7‑Point Quality Check and provide a thorough dispense to ensure proper fit.
  • Adjust and repair customer eyewear.
  • Stock/re‑stock merchandise, clean and straighten displays, and maintain the entire store to plan‑ogram standards.
  • Process defective, spoiled and cannibalized frames.
  • Complete company required training programs.
  • Follow company safety rules and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by management, including cross‑training in the lab.
  • Experience / Education
    • One (1) year of related experience.
    • Optical preferred.
    • HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
    Additional Requirements
    • Communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret insurance forms and prescriptions.
