Job Description Summary
Adhere to and practice the company’s service standards with each customer. Meet sales and work goals as directed by store management while following company policies and procedures. Lead team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work. Present the store, merchandise, and yourselves in the best possible light. Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions. Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, and maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness of company service standards, a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and good product knowledge.
- Promote the company rewards program and other business initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
- Maintain merchandise presentation; ensure stock is arranged and merchandised properly and store areas are clean and organized.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
- Remain aware of loss‑prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
- Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving, and assist with merchandise placement on the sales floor.
- Process all cashier functions in accordance with existing policy and procedure; check all shoes for mates.
Customers, Sales Associates, Store Management, and District/Regional Managers.
Key Qualifications- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and all employee levels.
- Basic verbal, non‑verbal, organizational, and math skills.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
