Security Officer
Position overview:
We are hiring a Security Officer for our growing team. The Security Officer is a vital member of the corporate office component of the system of care and is responsible for creating a safe and healthy environment for persons served, clients, and staff.
- Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities
- Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds
- Provides constant monitoring of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the campus
- Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
- After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure
- Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property
- Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives
- Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
- Maintains written log of all security related incidents and their dispositions
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High school graduate or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Previous work experience as a security guard or related position is preferred
- Substance abuse field experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and organization a must
