Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for our growing team. The Maintenance Technician will primarily be responsible for providing world‑class care to clients by ensuring needed machines, mechanical equipment, and the physical structure of our facilities remain in good condition.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or other preventive maintenance actions.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
- Maintain or repair specialized equipment located in cafeterias, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, or factories.
- Assemble boilers at installation sites using levels, plumb bobs, hammers, torches, and other hand tools.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Test and treat water supply.
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
- Inventory and maintain stock and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year general maintenance experience.
- Experience includes electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Building and construction knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for construction or repair of structures.
- Customer and personal service knowledge and principles for providing customer services, assessing needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction.
- Public safety and security knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to protect people, data, property, and institutions.
- Equipment maintenance: performing routine maintenance and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Repairing: repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Troubleshooting: determining causes of operating errors and deciding corrective actions.
- Critical thinking: using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Equipment selection: determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
