Position Summary

The Pharmacy Courier is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting prescription medications and supplies to patients, healthcare facilities, and partner organizations within the Tri‑State area. This role ensures timely, accurate, and secure delivery of all pharmacy items while representing the organization with professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a company‑provided vehicle to deliver medications and supplies.
  • Ensure accuracy of deliveries by verifying addresses, patient information, and medication packages prior to departure.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of all deliveries in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
  • Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes while ensuring timeliness.
  • Complete delivery logs, receipts, and related paperwork accurately.
  • Conduct basic vehicle checks (fuel, fluids, tire pressure) and promptly report any maintenance needs.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company driving policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous courier, delivery, or driving experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and walking.
  • Knowledge of the Tri‑State area preferred.
Working Conditions

Primarily driving and making deliveries throughout the Tri‑State area. Frequent interaction with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff. May require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on business needs.

Additional Requirements
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must maintain compliance with company safety and confidentiality standards.
