Senior Accountant

Location: Ashland, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Salary: $90,000 -$120,000

A stable, growing global manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. Backed by private equity and experiencing strong double‑digit growth, the company offers excellent long‑term career advancement, exposure to a global organization, and the opportunity to help support a growing finance function.

Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for general ledger accounting, month‑end close, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and global consolidations in a multi‑entity environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and financial analyses
  • Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, CIP, and amortization schedules
  • Perform loan accounting and manage amortization schedules
  • Handle intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Support global financial reporting and consolidation activities
  • Review bank reconciliations and maintain cash‑related accounts
  • Coordinate with international finance teams to ensure consistent accounting practices
  • Assist with external audits and provide audit support documentation
  • Administer the employee expense reimbursement system
  • Identify process improvements and support special accounting projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry
  • Experience in large, multi‑entity and intercompany accounting environments required
  • Strong background in fixed assets, depreciation, capital projects, and loan accounting
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • ERP experience required (JD Edwards experience is a plus; training available)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
