Senior Accountant
Location: Ashland, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Salary: $90,000 -$120,000
A stable, growing global manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for general ledger accounting, month‑end close, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and global consolidations in a multi‑entity environment.
Responsibilities- Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and financial analyses
- Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, CIP, and amortization schedules
- Perform loan accounting and manage amortization schedules
- Handle intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations across multiple entities
- Support global financial reporting and consolidation activities
- Review bank reconciliations and maintain cash‑related accounts
- Coordinate with international finance teams to ensure consistent accounting practices
- Assist with external audits and provide audit support documentation
- Administer the employee expense reimbursement system
- Identify process improvements and support special accounting projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry
- Experience in large, multi‑entity and intercompany accounting environments required
- Strong background in fixed assets, depreciation, capital projects, and loan accounting
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
- ERP experience required (JD Edwards experience is a plus; training available)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
