School Counselor Grade 4- Mindess Elementary School

The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 4 Long-Term Substitute School Counselor for the  academic year. Anticipated start date is February 5, 2026 with the assignment concluding around May 4, 2026. Mindess is a vibrant learning community dedicated to academic excellence and the social emotional growth of every student. We foster a collaborative environment where educators, students, and families partner to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

* Provide individual and small-group counseling

* Facilitate weekly SEL lessons in fourth grade classrooms

* Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student social-emotional growth

* Assist with crisis intervention and student support plans as needed

* Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and families

* Participate in student support meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree required

* Degree in counseling or related field preferred

* DESE licensure as a School Counselor preferred

* Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

* Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
