The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 5 Long-Term Substitute Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Creating an inclusive, engaging, and joyful classroom environment
• Planning and delivering instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
• Administering and analyzing assessments to guide instruction
• Collecting and using data to inform teaching practices
• Communicating effectively with students, families, colleagues, and school leadership
• Supporting and maintaining classroom expectations, routines, and school‑wide norms

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Degree in education preferred; valid teaching license required
• Prior teaching experience in upper elementary grades preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
