This position is intended for the  school year.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Plan and implement engaging enrichment activities aligned with student interests and staff strengths, including arts and crafts, STEM, cooperative games, sports, team-building, and other recreational activities.

* Assist with daily supervision of students in both structured and unstructured settings (e.g., hallways, cafeteria, recess, transitions) while using positive, consistent behavior management practices.

* Maintain safe, organized, and orderly program spaces, including assisting with classroom and storage area clean-up

* Build positive, professional relationships with students to support engagement and maintain a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment.

* Communicate and interact professionally with parents, students, and coworkers while maintaining student confidentiality.

* Share relevant student observations, concerns, and program feedback with leadership staff as appropriate.

* Attend required staff trainings, field trips, and special events as requested.

* Other duties as assigned by the Head Teacher, Assistant Director, or Director

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

* The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and occasionally run while supervising students and program activities.

* The employee may occasionally lift and move heavy objects.

* The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions and interruptions, including phone calls, parent interactions, walkie-talkie communication, and loud settings.

* The employee must be able to respond appropriately to emergencies, including student injuries and behavioral incidents.

* The employee is required to work outdoors in various weather conditions deemed safe and appropriate for students.

Requirements:

* College-level coursework or experience in education or a related field (e.g., psychology, sociology, or human services) with relevant experience working with children preferred, such as school support, childcare, camps, or youth programs.

* CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.

* Valid driver's license required.

Schedule:

* Monday through Friday scheduling available.

* Approximate start time: 1:45 PM, 2:00, 2:15 PM

* Flexible end time between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. This can be negotiated at the time of hire.

Rate:

* $18.50 for college students
* $20.00 per hour for those with a relevant bachelor's degree or currently employed by a public school system
