This role focuses on diagnosing printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) issues, assisting in root cause investigations, and supporting product quality and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working directly with electronic hardware in a lab environment.

  • Probe signals, trace circuits, and identify component‑level failures
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation to isolate issues

Failure Analysis (RMA & Production Support)

  • Support analysis of returned products (RMA) and in‑process failures
  • Assist with identifying failure modes and contributing to root cause investigations
  • Document findings and communicate results to engineering and quality teams
  • Perform PCB rework including component replacement and soldering (SMT and through‑hole)
  • Conduct functional testing to verify repairs and corrective actions
  • Ensure products meet performance, quality, and safety requirements
  • Assist engineers with product testing, validation, and quality checks
  • Maintain organized lab workspace and ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Record test data, maintain logs, and update technical documentation

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and observed failure trends

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
  • 1–3+ years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing support
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Hands‑on soldering and PCB rework experience (SMT and/or through‑hole preferred)
  • Exposure to manufacturing, test, or failure analysis environments

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Hands‑on, methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • Clear communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment
  • Lab‑based role working directly with electronic hardware
  • May involve handling energized circuits and electro‑mechanical systems
  • Use of ESD‑safe practices and adherence to lab safety procedures required
