• Provide direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, and implementing care to assigned patients on a per shift basis.
• Supervise staff to whom care is delegated and ensure competency of clinical staff.
• Collaborate with the CNO to maintain high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control.
• Plan and coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform and fulfill all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies and disasters.
• Know and act upon the hospital’s emergency codes and policies.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Education: Graduated from a state-approved or accredited school of nursing.
• Certification: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice in the state of practice or pursuant to policy; CPR certification.
