Job Overview
The Ashland Public Schools district is hiring a full‑time registered nurse for David Mindess Elementary School. The Nurse will report to the Head Nurse and School Principal and will be responsible for the health and safety of all students and staff.
Responsibilities- Implement students’ individualized health care plans as developed by school nurses.
- Administer medications and provide episodic care to all students.
- Respond to students’ and staff health needs promptly.
- Document student and staff encounters using the electronic health information system (SNAP).
- Communicate with parents, faculty, and external medical providers as needed.
- Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) guidelines, as well as Ashland Public Schools policies and procedures.
- Current Massachusetts license to practice as a registered nurse.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- School nursing experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
