Overview
The Seminary Admissions Representative will recruit and assist prospective students for the Ashland Theological Seminary (ATS) through the enrollment process. This position reports to the Director of Admissions for Ashland University and is housed with the University’s Admissions team. This position is the Seminary’s primary staff person for all aspects of recruitment and enrollment. Creativity, energy, and organization are essential to successfully engage internal and external audiences effectively to reach enrollment and revenue goals.
Responsibilities- Provide innovative ways of communicating with prospective students and applicants interested in the Seminary.
- Assist with campus visit programs throughout the year.
- Coordinate campus visits, recruitment events and outreach activities with ATS Executive Dean and program directors.
- Work with the Vice President of Enrollment Management (VPEM) and Director of Admissions to formulate headcount and revenue goals.
- Meet with prospective students to provide information about ATS academic programs and financial aid opportunities, and to answer related questions.
- Develop and maintain recruitment pipelines and communication strategies with prospective students to reach enrollment goals.
- Produce and maintain website and social media content, as well as inbound marketing such as blogs, podcasts, and webinars, to engage targeted external audiences.
- Serve as the liaison between ATS and the Division of Enrollment Management.
- Help coordinate applicant communications and the review processes.
- Articulate and demonstrate a commitment to the Seminary’s core values.
- Work with the VPEM and Director of Admissions and Student Success to execute a student retention plan.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Personal commitment to the Christian faith.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or as needed.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals both on and off campus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.
- Familiarity with theological education.
