Paraprofessional II (Special Assignment)
Ashland City School District Bus Garage - Ashland, Ohio
POSITION:
- Paraprofessional II (LEAP) (Van Paraprofessional-Special Assignment)
- 4 hr-combination am & pm
- 6:45 am – 8:45 am & 1:20 pm – 3:20 pm
- This position is a one-year, non-renew contract for the school year, beginning August 19, 2026.
ROUTE: LEAP Program at Mid-Ohio Educational Center-Mansfield, OH
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning, OR hold an associate's degree, OR have passed the Teacher Parapro praxis exam.
- Must possess experience working with children with multiple and behavioral disabilities. Some heavy lifting required.
- Must complete CPI and Safety & Violence Training within the first 60 days of accepting position.
- Must obtain an Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Qualifications through ODE prior to the first day of employment.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- Position requires the ability to work with special needs students.
- Physical ability to handle wheelchairs and other equipment related to special needs students.
- The student's family may elect to stop their student attending school at any given time during this school year. This would void the contract.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
Per the terms of the Negotiated Agreement
