* Summary:

** Operates machine(s) to produce quality parts in a proficient manner.
Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose any sources of trouble.  Perform repairs and adjustments as necessary.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Performs start-stop procedures including, but not limited to: machine start-up, loading of raw materials, detecting malfunctions, making accurate tooling adjustments, checking parts according to quality standards and machine shutdown.
* Completes all records, forms, and electronic data entry as required.
* Performs preventative machine maintenance.
* Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, temperature or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
* Recognizes and reports machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to Supervisor.
* Ensures tooling is maintained and serviced as needed.
* Ensures safety procedures are being followed.
* Operate other machines as needed.

** Qualifications

** Education and/or Experience
** High school diploma or equivalent;; or 6 months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Two year certificate from trade school helpful;
Self-motivated and able to learn at a fast pace.

** Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
