Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. One of the initial points of contact in preparation for the Customer.

This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Manufacturing dept.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Proper lifting and stacking techniques.

Stacking and handling a variety of components to support the build process of the final product.

Ability to interpret basic paperwork, build tickets, etc.

Perform quality checks throughout machining process to ensure parts are correct for customer satisfaction.

Daily reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.

Comply with all safety and health regulations.

Maintain Housekeeping procedures daily in the work area.

Learn a variety of wood types depending on the department (Maple, Oak, Cherry, Hickory, MDF, Koto, Plywood, Particleboard, etc.)

Tools, Machinery and Equipment:

Tape measure

Production paperwork, build tickets, etc.

Will be required to read and understand paperwork/build tickets.

Must be proficient in reading a tape measure.

Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be a self-starter who works well and can follow a list of daily work assignments.

Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.

Must have good hand and eye coordination.

Required to notify production lead person or Supervisor of a problem or issue.

Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with other employees.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.

Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.

Scope and Impact:

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Requires standing and or walking the entire shift.
