General Utility

General Utility, under the direction of the department manager/supervisor, is responsible for assisting in any and all phases of production, preparation, sanitation, and/or packaging of the product.

• Assists in production of goods including pre‑weighing ingredients, cutting raw materials, removing discarded product, and picking out defects on conveyors.
• Maintains cleanliness of all manufacturing areas, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning counters and equipment to meet health and safety requirements.
• Ensures the area is organized according to 5S/production standards.
• Lubricates, hand‑cleans parts, and assembles production equipment.
• Performs general manual labor tasks such as lifting and moving materials, loading/unloading, assisting in handling heavy materials, and making minor repairs.
• Works with team members to complete tasks efficiently, ensuring the line is ready for startup or shutdown and minimizing downtime.
• Assists other employees with assigned work tasks and packaging finished goods or parts for customer delivery.
• Delivers and picks up materials around the plant as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment and follows department rules, procedures, routines, and requirements.
• May be asked to operate machinery within the site if qualified.
• Practices and adheres to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Allergen program, and Safety guidelines/procedures.
• Optional mandatory overtime may be required.
• Might perform other duties as required.
