Provides total patient care in accordance with physician’s orders and individual patient needs in conformance with the recognized standards of nursing practice.
Duties and Essential Functions- Assesses patient and/or conducts screenings and documents utilizing standard scales when indicated.
- Prioritizes and documents patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with patient, family, and health care team.
- Documents changes in patient condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care/intervention.
- Utilizes organization‑wide safe medication practices including the 5 rights of medication administration, barcode scanning, and other medication safety processes specific to the unit/department.
- Knows actions, usual dosage, indications, and side effects of medications administered.
- Commits to the service of others by attending a class or program for service development.
- Exemplifies excellent customer service and is recognized by the facility for providing outstanding service.
- Maintains a neat appearance, is polite to patients and customers, and demonstrates reliable in‑person and phone etiquette.
- Participates in organization‑wide events/programs and supports the organization positively.
- Willingness to express a positive and professional approach to job responsibilities.
- Contributes to an overall positive culture (exemplifies teamwork by collaborating with others within and across departments, serves as preceptor, job shadow, cross‑train, etc.).
- Work product/output is consistently accurate, timely, and relevant to department‑specific policies, procedures, and standards.
- Complies with hospital and departmental policies and all TJC, OSHA, or other regulatory standards.
- Identifies ways to improve processes, reduce waste, or decrease cost within the department.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Pay package details and tax‑free stipend will be confirmed upon hiring.
