Overview

Registered Nurse - Med Surg ). This position is located at Samaritan Medical Center. Provides safe, efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

  2 installments: 1 @ 90 days and 1 @ one year

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

• Diploma in Nursing or
• ADN — Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• BSN — Bachelor s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• MN — Master in Nursing (Preferred)

• Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (eg. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices) (Required proficiency)

1 year of RN experience required

• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) or obtained during nursing orientation
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
