• Sets proper examples of showing respect and kindness, and customer service to all residents, guest and co-workers, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Protects and maintains confidentiality of Brethren Care Village residents, and protects resident rights.
• Helps coordinate and participates in residence functions, including but not limited to resident family, employee and community events. (Which may entail refreshments, snacks, meals, and catering events.)
• Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies, and procedures.
• Responsible for training new staff as well as attending and participating in scheduled staff meetings.
• Inspects and maintains the dietary areas in a clean, sanitary and safe condition and performs Quality Assurance checks.
• Schedules department work hours (including vacation and holiday), work assignments, and covers open shifts as needed.
• Assist with counseling and disciplinary action of dietary personnel as necessary.
• Reviews and checks competence of dietary personnel and makes necessary adjustments/corrections as necessary.
• Maintains a productive working relationship with all other departments.
• Assures that stock levels of staple/non-staple food, supplies, equipment, etc. are maintained at adequate levels at all times, placing food orders weekly and as needed.

• Must have minimum of high school education.
• Minimum two years of experience in cooking and dining services operations supervision.
• Maintain all required certification including Serve Safe, First Aid.
