Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic – Ashland, OH

Ashland, Ohio

• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy duty vehicles.
• Troubleshoot electrical, drive train, HVAC, brake, engine, and suspension systems.
• Write clear, accurate, and detailed Repair Orders.
• Use diagnostic equipment to detect and isolate faults and interpret test results.
• Communicate with Shop Foreman and parts personnel to provide repair information.
• Obtain supervisor approval to complete diagnosed repairs and/or add additional repairs.
• Interact with customers in a professional and positive manner.

• High School Diploma required; formal technical degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Personal tool inventory (or ability to acquire tools).
• Read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, electrical schematics, and other technical bulletins.
• Obtain a Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
