Assiststeachingstaffbyperforminginstructionaltaskswithstudentsinsmallgroupsandone-on-one settings, record keeping, and supervision.
Performs duties with close supervision.

- Worksdirectlywithstudentswithavarietyofneeds at multiple school sites.
- Implementsplannedactivitiesusingteacher-designedmethodsandmaterialsforindividualand small student groups for instructional support.
- Assistsstudentsintheuseofavarietyofcomputersoftwareandtestingprograms.
- Testsandevaluatesstudents'abilitiesinmath,writing,reading,listeningandspeakingandtracks progress as directed by teacher.
- Monitorsandassistsstudentsasneededintheclassroom,playground,locker rooms,busduty and at meal times.
- Assistsstudentsasneededwithminorfirstaid,cleanup,and toileting.
- Assiststheteacherintheset-upandmaintenanceoftheclassroom,materialsandsupplies; including basic classroom housekeeping.
- Preparesandprovidesclericalsupportsuchasrecord keeping,copying,filing,grading assignments, data entry and taking attendance
- Assiststheteacherinschedulingappropriatemeetingsandcompletionofpaperwork.
- Createsdocumentsinlanguagesotherthan Englishfornon-Englishspeakingstudentsand parents.
- Translatesandinterpretsforstudents,staffandparents.
- Supportsteacherwithinhomevisitsasneeded.
- Maintainsandsecuresconfidentialrecordsandinquiriesasneeded.
- Collaborateseffectivelyasateammemberatregularteammeetings.
- Engagespositivelyinstaffmeetingsandstaffdevelopmenttrainings.
- Facilitatesmeetingsandconversationsbetweenstaffandparentsand/or students.
- Professionallyrepresentstheschoolandthe Districtininteractions with parents,community, staff, and students and resolves conflict in a professional manner.
- Understandsandcomplieswithapplicable Districtpoliciesandprocedures.
- Attendsworkregularlyandispunctual.
- Followsprescribeddailyscheduleasoutlinedbythebuildingadministrator.
- Maintainsappropriatecertificationsandtraininghoursasrequired.

- Annually pass the District's required online training by the District's assigned due-date.

- While working collaboratively with others, implements decisions within ASD established policies and procedures.
- Professionally represent the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students and resolves conflict in a professional manner.
