Description Position Overview

This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation, set-up, performance, and strike of OSF’s Green Show
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):- Attend Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, (ED&I) sexual harassment, and any other anti-bias training and workshops as scheduled by the institution.
- Model and support the mission and values.
- Work with the Green Show staff with the preshow set-up of sound equipment, props, lighting, and other stage elements; aiding guest artists in carrying and setting up their performance equipment; sound check and technical rehearsals; performances; and post-performance strike.
- Monitor performers and audience during the show to ensure the safety of performers, patrons, and other staff.
- Install and strike sound equipment
- Run the sound board for sound check and performances
- Deliver excellent customer service that ensures patron interactions are positive and responsive.
- Be aware of, control, and express one’s emotions, and handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.
- Assist Green Show staff in event logistics and planning, which include but are not limited to: general office work, communications with artists, data entry, social media, attending planning meetings, scheduling and note-taking.
- Liaise with Green Show guest artists.

MinimumQualifications & Skills:
Basic computer skills and familiarity with social media platforms. Ability to work as a member of a team.
PreferredQualifications & Skills:
Experience with the Behringer X32 console and Q-lab. Experience working with culturally diverse populations. Experience in theatre arts and/or live performance art venues. Experience mixing live bands. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Drive (docs, spreadsheets, forms, etc).
Physical Ability:Ability to work in outdoor conditions, even during inclement weather. All lifting and carrying requirements may be performed with or without an accommodation.
Must be able to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.
Pay rate: $25 per hour
