This flexible PRN position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while expanding your clinical skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Duties
* Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional mobility.
* Provide hands-on therapy interventions to patients in various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits.
* Support patients in performing ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence.
* Document patient progress accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to enhance safety and functional outcomes at home or in the community.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care that addresses medical imaging results, physiology considerations, and anatomy knowledge.
* Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all patient interactions. Requirements
* Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or registration as required by local regulations.
* Experience working in diverse settings such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or home health environments.
* Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to patient care.
* Familiarity with care plans tailored for geriatrics, pediatrics, and general adult populations.
* Ability to assist with ADLs across various patient needs and mobility levels.
