• Two‑year Associate degree; equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience with broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures directly related to water treatment plant operations.

• Arizona Dept. of Environmental Quality Grade IV Operator Certificate in Water Treatment upon hire.
• Valid AZ Driver’s License upon hire.

• Experience in a municipal or government setting.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Degree in Water, Environmental Technology or related field.

Peoria’s Water Services Department offers a Water Treatment Supervisor role that oversees and evaluates water treatment plants and delivery system operations to ensure compliance and maintain processes at an optimal cost‑effective level.

• Supervise the day‑to‑day operation of water treatment facilities.
• Maintain on‑call status for evaluation and problem solving of emergency situations.
• Monitor daily process trends to maintain good treatment.
• Manage allocated budget.
• Oversee plant construction projects.
• Supervise staff, maintaining a 24‑/7 shift schedule.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities.

• Robust knowledge of water system and facility process control systems and techniques.
• Previous supervisory experience in a municipal or government setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
