Daily production baker to prep for all daily cafe needs, working with minimal supervision in a team of 2.

Mix Bakeshop is an Ashland staple entering our 20th year. We have our Bakeshop location downtown on the plaza and our Coffee Bar on the southside with Remix. We take pride in our work and our team and want everyone who visits us to share in the experience that only a locally‑owned business in a small community can offer.

The bakery also supplies our second cafe ReMix with their daily pastries, bread, and curated lunch items. We have a wide ranging menu with many opportunities for growth in knowledge and skill. We value quality and strive to shine in all departments and as a team. We are looking for someone who can make a longterm commitment as the training for the role takes several months.

A base knowledge of many pastry and food techniques is expected/required.

• Required:
  
  Four consecutive 10 hour shifts 7am-5pm, or 8am-6pm.

• Create a daily production list following a production par list and accrued knowledge of sales trends
• Be self directed, and have the ability to multitask
• Check in and unpack all food delivery orders
• Use a non automated Meat Slicer
• Be comfortable with sweet and savory production
• Be knowledgeable in how to use your time efficiently
• Collaborate with any other scheduled prep baker on the needs of the day

• Have several years experience in a production bakery or kitchen
• Be reliable and punctual
• Be able to stand for 10 hours
• Regularly lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy and participate in deep cleaning duties
• Have a general knowledge of math
• Have a valid Oregon Food Handler's Card
• Starting wage is $17.75 with approximately 4$ an hour in tips. After training is completed- wage is increased through transparent metrics
