Hospice RN

Overview

Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect quality end‑of‑life care to patients and their families under the guidance of the Hospice Clinical Supervisor and physician orders. The RN manages a caseload within the hospice service area, coordinating care activities with the healthcare team to ensure patient comfort and a peaceful death.

• Accountable for direct and indirect quality care for patients and families of all ages, according to individualized needs.
• Follow the nursing process and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Manage a caseload of patients within the hospice service area.
• Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship.
• Assist in achieving a comfortable and peaceful death.
• Accept professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.

• Oregon Registered Nurse License.
• Valid RN license.
• 1 year medical/surgical experience with recent acute care or long‑term care experience.
• Experience in end‑of‑life care.

• Recent Oncology, Home Hospice, or Home Health experience.

• Base pay range: $40.90 – $63.49 per hour.
• Shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may be available.
