The Admissions Processing Specialist will play an integral role within the administrative team at Hanover County Public Schools. The individual in this position will perform a variety of office duties and coordinate with various stakeholders to aid in the efficient flow of admissions-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with schools and families during the admissions process, providing information and answering inquiries.
  • Process all admission applications in an efficient and accurate manner, providing timely progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop, sort, and maintain the organization’s admissions databases ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Contribute to the implementation and revision of admissions procedures, in accordance with changes in regulations or school policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as parents, applicants, and school representatives to ensure a smooth admissions process.
  • Prepare comprehensive statistical reports related to student admissions for senior management upon request.
  • Provide assistance in organizing school admission meetings and events, as needed.
Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or comparable work experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an administrative role or an educational institution is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of organization in managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively within a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Proficiency in computer and database management.
