Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Ashland, VA, responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This position coordinates project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within scope. Day-to-day tasks include managing subcontractors and vendors, reviewing drawings and specifications, leading progress meetings, and maintaining clear communication with clients, design teams, and internal staff.

The Project Manager monitors quality control, safety compliance, and inspections, while tracking project documentation such as RFIs, change orders, and reports. The role also involves proactive risk management, problem-solving on site, and reinforcing the company’s “Build It Like You Own It” standard on every project.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated project leadership and oversight skills, including Project Management experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with Expeditor responsibilities and Expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of materials, permits, and approvals.
• Knowledge of Inspection processes, quality control standards, and construction codes and regulations.
• Background in Logistics Management, including coordination of labor, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with owners, design professionals, and subcontractors.
• Proven track record in managing budgets, change orders, and project documentation with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience in commercial construction project management.
• Commitment to safety practices and familiarity with OSHA standards; ability to lead on-site teams and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
