Equipment Yard Coordinator

Link-Belt Mid-Atlantic is a construction equipment company, offering sales, rentals, parts, and service. Our legacy is built on quality products and customer satisfaction. Currently we have an Equipment Yard Coordinator role open at our Ashland branch.

The Equipment Yard Coordinator is responsible for the safe and orderly movement and operating of equipment in and out of the yard, loading and unloading of equipment, washing, and detailing the equipment as needed. The Equipment Yard Coordinator may assist with basic shop activities and receive hands-on training to develop the skills necessary for potential advancement into an Associate Service Technician position.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Safely assist freight transportation drivers to load and unload heavy equipment.
  • Act as a spotter for others moving trucks or equipment at the facility as needed.
  • Position and secure equipment within the yard and maintain control of equipment keys when not in use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient equipment yard.
  • Wash, clean and detail equipment as requested using designated wash bay facility.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties within the yard and wash bay facility.
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free work area.
  • Assist Service Technicians as needed with preventative maintenance (PM) services, equipment attachment installation, and other shop activities as part of ongoing training and development.
  • Follow procedures for accessing, using, and replenishing wash bay materials and supplies.
  • Promptly report safety concerns, equipment damage, and operational issues to the supervisor.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.
General Qualifications For This Role:
  • High School or GED
  • One year minimum experience working with or around heavy construction equipment.
  • OSHA approved forklift certification required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe after hire
