ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONSThe duties, tasks, and functions listed below combine to help define this position within the Company but should not be interpreted as exhaustive of all responsibilities the position may require. This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties, tasks, and functions.
- Assist the Electrician in installing electrical systems,
- Install lighting, electrical outlets, and circuit breakers,
- Thread conduit ends and connect couplings and conduit fittings using wrench,
- Secure brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals,
- Use tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers,
- Replace faulty circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire,
- Replace old fuse boxes,
- Hook up appliances for power,
- Install new lighting and ceiling fans,
- Drive Company vehicle as needed,
- Other duties as assigned.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the above-listed duties, tasks, and functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid US issued Driver's License.
- A US Driving Record that passes the Company’s insurance carrier’s approval requirements to drive for the Company.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Travel will include the branch location’s service territory with occasional trips to the headquarters office in North Charleston, SC.
