Apprentice Diesel Mechanic

A well-established company is urgently seeking Apprentice Diesel Mechanics to join their skilled team in the Ashland, VA area. This role involves performing light repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a diverse fleet including regional Peterbilt tractors, medium and heavy-duty trucks, and luxury RV coaches. Work is performed in a modern, clean, well-equipped seven-bay shop built in 2016. The environment emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and a family-oriented culture with empathetic leadership.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years general mechanical work experience in the diesel, automotive, industrial, and/or equipment fields.

Basic service and wheel-end work skills

Previous heavy truck or diesel maintenance will be given preference.

Proficiency with hand tools (half-inch to one-inch drive sockets/wrenches, impact wrench, test light, probe)
Strong mechanic aptitude, work ethic and great attitude.

Motivated to learn and grow within industry.
