3rd Shift Class A Driver

Ashland, VA

3rd shift: 8:30 PM – 8:30 AM Monday – Friday

Home daily, paid weekly

In this role, you will provide services to the world’s largest telecommunications and cable providers. A CDL Class A Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver's license.

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately completes vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provides excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Follows all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 2+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Previous experience in high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
