Truck Driver CDL A OTR Solo

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Ashland, VA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

$1700 or more per week. Other incentives include:

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Home at least every other weekend.
• Must be able and willing to drive into Canada.
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.59 per mile with  miles per week.
• Van Stops Pay: $16.37 per stop plus $107.56 per dry‑van unload.
• Average 8-10 stops per week.
• Rolling stop pay $28.20.
• Safety Bonus: $250 four times a year, every quarter.
• Loyalty Bonus: $2000 at 6 months and $2000 at 1 year.
• Paid training.

• Tractor type: sleepers with APUs.
• Trailer type: dry van and Conestoga (experience preferred).
• Companion policy: bring a person or pet on the road.
• Load securement: strapping.
• Freight: touch‑hand unloading required.
• Freight types: commercial and residential garage doors.
• Endorsements: passport within 90 days of hire.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Deliver solo routes from North Dakota to Texas and all states east, as well as Canada.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days.
• 80 hours PTO in your first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it).
