Pennsylvania Steel is a leading distributor of steel and aluminum. We are a private and veteran owned business. Pennsylvania Steel has been in business since 1972 and has expanded to 11 locations in 2017, becoming one of the largest Steel Service Centers in the eastern United States.

• Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations.
• Knowledge of shipping and setting up truck routes; trained in UPS, Fed Ex, and Common Carrier shipping paperwork.
• Process incoming and outgoing orders.
• Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents.
• Inspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing items.
• Label warehouse paperwork for quick and easy identification and retrieval.
• Perform detailed manual inventory counts; problem solve inventory history.
• Use computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and warehouse logistic programs.
• Communicate via emails and phone calls.
• All duties performed from desk inside the sales office with sitting or standing at employee's discretion.
• No lifting required.

• Very detailed.
• Experienced with scheduling truck/transportation routes.
• Experienced with Shipping Manifests and all Shipping entities.
• Experienced with inspecting incoming materials for defects and confirming all materials ordered are received.
• Experienced with manual inventory counts and system accuracy.
• Experienced with handling incoming and outgoing orders.
• Knowledgeable about handling and correcting discrepancies.
