Job GoalBuild positive relationships with students, families, staff and the greater Ashland community. Provide high-quality instruction to students with a strong desire to make an impact on students who are in need of assistance. Engage positively and professionally in collaborative teams to regularly analyze data that will inform and adjust instructional practices to ensure student success. Present a positive image in contact with the parents, community, and staff.
Properly handles confidential matters relating to students, student records, parents, staff and any other school-related issues.
- Wisconsin school counseling certification or the ability to obtain
- Wisconsin teaching certification or the ability to obtain
- A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, and exercise good judgment
- Ability to perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature
- Assist with ALT ED program as needed
- Support Tier II SEL as needed
- The candidate will oversee a structured study hall. They will be responsible for presenting curriculum around organization, study skills, SEL topics and other areas to aid in the transition to high school. Students will be graded and have the opportunity to earn .5 elective credit.
- The candidate will work closely with other staff members to best support the freshmen students in their academic achievements.
- Ability to follow and/or lead the District’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
