- Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management for patients, both adults and children
- Adhere to the service and courtesy standard of University Hospitals Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times
- Provide patient care within the respective clinical area that complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules, regulations and University Hospitals Urgent Care policies and procedures
- Serve as a resource for patient/family and staff
- Maintain authenticated records of all services rendered and ensure accurate and complete documentation in an acceptable manner
- Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
- Participate in meetings and activities as required to support operations of the urgent care
- Engage in professional development activities, complete and maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintain any additional specialty training or certifications as required by the area assigned
- Report to the Area Clinical Operations Director
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Current DEA registration
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Well Street Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
- Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
- Positive, energetic attitude which inspires other team members
- Sense of service and team orientation absent of hubris
- Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization
