We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to design and develop next‑generation Environmental Control Units (ECUs), heater systems, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) protection equipment. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in hands‑on design, ruggedized electro‑mechanical systems, and cross‑disciplinary product development.
You will play a key role in designing power systems, control architectures, electrical enclosures, and integrated HVAC/thermal systems used in demanding military and industrial environments. If you enjoy full‑life‑cycle engineering—from concept through production.
Job Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical systems for ECUs, heater modules, and CBRN protection equipment.
- Create control and power system designs, including VFD‑based motor controls, protective circuits, and distribution panels.
- Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and wire harnesses with complete wire lists.
- Work hands‑on with HVAC, air‑handling, thermal management, refrigeration, and other packaged electro‑mechanical systems using closed‑loop controls.
- Integrate communication buses such as RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN bus, LVSB, and Ethernet.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and designers to develop 3D electrical enclosure layouts and integrated assemblies.
- Utilize PDM systems for revision control and product configuration management.
- Support prototyping, testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, and transition to production.
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 4+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
- Demonstrated, hands-on expertise with:
- Control and power system design (including VFDs)
- Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Wire harness development and wire list documentation
- Strong background in HVAC, industrial air‑handling, thermal management, or refrigeration systems, especially those using closed‑loop controls and ruggedized packaging.
- Familiarity with communication interfaces: RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN bus, LVSB, Ethernet.
- Experience collaborating with mechanical engineers to produce 3D enclosure layouts (Solid Works experience highly desirable).
- Experience using Product Data Management (PDM) tools for documentation and revision control (Solid Works EPDM a plus).
- AutoCAD
- Background in CBRN, defense systems, or high‑reliability equipment design.
- Expertise with diagnostics tools and test equipment for system validation.
- Solid Works Electrical experience.
